Dorian Shoemake, Owner, has owned and operated his own construction company for Dorian Shoemakethe last 25 years. He has worked in every aspect of construction over the course of his career. Under his leadership the company has grown and prospered to a full service provider for general contracting, design/build services, self-performed work and construction management. His knowledge and experience in project administration, estimating, and hands-on construction allow him to facilitate the inevitable issues that arise during a job. His personal dedication to the quality and client satisfaction on each project is what inspires our employees to put in place the exceptional work that Owners and Architects have come to expect from us.

Frank Beilmann, Business Development and Compliance Officer, is a retired U.S. Marine.Frank Beilmann Culminating a thirty year career as Sergeant Major of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe, he has traveled extensively throughout Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, and the Middle East representing the U. S. Marine Corps to foreign nationals. With the last twelve of his thirty years at the most senior rank a Marine can achieve and answering directly to General Grade officers, Frank has provided guidance to fellow Marines and local military units during training operations and has attended various U.S. Embassy functions as guest speaker. He has attended Total Quality Leadership training with the U.S. Navy and has completed ISO 9000:2000 courses in management as well as FEMA response and emergency management courses. Over the course of his career, Frank’s leadership and management skills have made him adept at evaluating and streamlining processes, resulting in greater efficiency and output across a broad spectrum of missions. He retired from active duty on 1 August 2007.

Ken Taylor handles estimating and purchasing. Also a USM graduate, Ken began his careerKen Taylor with a small general contractor in Jackson, Mississippi. As the company grew into a larger regional contractor he advanced to head their estimating department. Ken oversaw estimates ranging from $100,000.00 to $100,000,000.00. Through his experience he has developed an understanding of the costs of various construction systems and what drives these costs in different areas, particularly the local market. His continuous research for bids & estimates also results in maintaining strong, working relationships with subcontractors.

Hugh Sanders oversees the operations side of DC General Contractors, Inc. After graduatingHugh Sanders with a degree in construction engineering from USM, Hugh went to work for a regional general contractor specializing in malls and large shopping centers. Following several years spent traveling the country building shopping malls; he went to work for a commercial, industrial contractor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Now at home in Hattiesburg, Hugh’s background in scheduling and his management skills are exactly what is necessary for managing multiple projects and crews, maintaining both schedule and quality.

Shane Baeuerle, Project Manager, joined DC General Contractors after providing seniorShane Baeuerle project management of jobs for three of the largest general contractors based in the Southeast. He too is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Construction Engineering. Shane has managed the construction of projects ranging from $1,000,000.00 to $50,000,000.00 for the last ten years. His successful focus on quality, time, and money has been proven consistently in multi-million dollar hotels, casinos, educational facilities, and military projects.
