Preconstruction
Services:
Taking advantage of any of our preconstruction services would be the
most beneficial step for your project. Often one of the first,
and most arduous, processes that must be done is receiving municipality
approvals. Working through zoning ordinances, planning departments, and
permitting are very time consuming procedures and can be frustrating
experiences. There can be multiple committee presentations, variances,
applications, and approvals to receive before your project can begin.
We have experience in all of the aforementioned with state, county, and
city agencies and can maneuver the government red tape to free your time
to focus on the next steps.
Our staff has a widely varied background and can work with you to discern
what type of building would best suit your needs. Time frame scheduling
coupled with early cost analysis establishes a mutual understanding for
everyone concerning time and budgets. Taking the time to visit the site,
thoroughly review contract documents, solicit subcontractors and vendors,
DC General Contractors will design a plan and offer a firm estimate for
your project from start to finish.
Design/Build:
We believe the key to success of many of our projects has been utilizing
the design/build process when feasible. Working directly with the Owner
to produce both an aesthetically pleasing and cost effective design, you
are assured that everyone on the team begins the process from the same
point of interpretation. Our initial goals of understanding your design
intent and providing input from a budgeting and scheduling standpoint results
in accurate control of costs.
Design Assist:
Through the service of design assist, we work in tandem with an Architect
or Designer you have contracted and provide input from the construction
side. We review plans and material specifications to evaluate areas where
cost savings can be obtained through value engineering and present them
to the team. As the Owner, you will have all the information needed to
determine what parts of the project you want to invest in the most. |
